Token Unlocks Worth $630M Set for First Week of August, Hyperliquid and Succinct Lead

Token unlocks totaling roughly $630.2 million are scheduled for the first week of August 2026, with Hyperliquid, Succinct, and Ethena among the projects releasing significant amounts of previously locked tokens. The distributions could inject fresh supply into markets, particularly for Succinct, where the unlock represents more than the current circulating supply.

Hyperliquid unlocks $22.7M for core contributors

Hyperliquid (HYPE) will unlock 433,000 tokens on August 6, worth $22.74 million. That's just 0.19% of its released supply. The tokens go to core contributors. Hyperliquid runs a decentralized perpetual futures exchange on its own Layer-1 blockchain.

Succinct's massive unlock: 104% of circulating supply

Succinct (PROVE) unlocks 208.33 million tokens on August 5, worth $34.7 million. That's 104.17% of its current circulating supply — a huge relative release. The unlock is split five ways: 83.33 million for ecosystem and R&D, 73.75 million for contributors, 26.25 million for investors, 16.67 million for public allocation and incentives, and 8.33 million for the Succinct Foundation. Succinct is a zero-knowledge proof infrastructure project using the SP1 zkVM.

Ethena unlocks $15.4M for contributors and investors

Ethena (ENA) unlocks 171.88 million tokens on August 5, worth $15.36 million, or 1.97% of its released supply. Core contributors get 93.75 million tokens; investors get 78.13 million. Ethena is a synthetic dollar protocol on Ethereum, with USDe as its stablecoin and ENA as the governance token.

Other tokens unlocking this week

Opinion (OPN), BounceBit (BB), and Momentum (MMT) also have unlocks scheduled in the first week of August, though specific amounts weren't disclosed in the data. The combined $630.2 million figure includes all scheduled unlocks across the week.

The unlocks come as the market digests a busy schedule. For Succinct, the sheer size relative to circulating supply could test liquidity. The next week will show how these distributions affect trading.
