Crypto trader Ansem is making a bold call: Pump.fun's native token, PUMP, could be a top-10 cryptocurrency by market cap within two years. In a post this week, he argued the token is undervalued relative to its underlying business, pointing to the platform's revenue and cash reserves. PUMP has been climbing steadily in recent weeks, and the prediction has traders talking.
Why Ansem sees a bargain
Ansem's thesis is straightforward: the market is penalizing PUMP simply because it's a tokenized asset. He called it a "top 3 moneymaker in crypto, $2B in cash, trades at < 2.8x p/e @ ~$1B circ mcap because of bias against tokenization." In other words, he thinks the business is printing money but the market won't give it credit.
He bought in early, putting 1,500 Solana into PUMP at a price that has since paid off. The token has rallied hard over the past month, and Ansem believes the market is only starting to recognize the platform's actual economics.
The long way to the top 10
Getting into the top 10 won't be easy. Dogecoin, which currently sits just inside that club, carries a market cap roughly ten times larger than PUMP's. To match that valuation, PUMP would need to grow about tenfold — a tall order even for a token that's been on a tear.
Rankings shift as prices and supplies move, so the exact threshold could change. But the gap is wide, and the clock is ticking on Ansem's two-year window.
A Solana revival bet
Ansem's earlier bullish case for PUMP rested on Solana reclaiming a bigger share of retail trading activity. If SOL draws more users back to its ecosystem, Pump.fun — built on Solana — stands to benefit. That's a bet on both the token and the network it lives on.
He's also pointed to Pump.fun's mobile app as a potential growth catalyst, arguing it could bring in a wave of new users who don't sit at a desktop all day.
What to watch
The mobile app hasn't launched yet, and it's unclear when it will. If it lands and drives adoption, PUMP's path to the top 10 looks more credible. If it stalls, the tenfold climb gets even steeper. Ansem has made his bet — now it's a waiting game.
