Upbit to List DeFi Lending Tokens Morpho and Euler in KRW Market

Upbit will list two decentralized finance lending tokens — Morpho (MORPHO) and Euler (EUL) — in its Korean won market this week, the exchange confirmed. The listings, set for July 25 and July 26 respectively, signal that DeFi lending protocols are gaining traction among Asian traders.

Listing dates and market details

Morpho will open for trading on July 25, followed by Euler on July 26. Both tokens will be available in the KRW market, meaning users can buy and sell them directly against the South Korean won. Upbit has not yet announced any additional listings for the near term.

DeFi lending's growing appeal in Asia

The decision to add these two protocols comes as decentralized lending platforms attract more attention from investors looking for alternatives to traditional financial products. Morpho and Euler are both DeFi lending protocols that allow users to lend and borrow crypto assets without intermediaries. The listings reflect a broader trend of Asian exchanges embracing DeFi tokens, particularly those focused on lending.

Upbit, a major cryptocurrency exchange in Asia, has been steadily expanding its token offerings. The addition of Morpho and Euler suggests the exchange sees demand for DeFi lending exposure among its user base.

What the tokens bring

Morpho is a DeFi lending protocol designed to improve capital efficiency by matching lenders and borrowers directly. Euler is another lending platform that offers variable-rate borrowing and lending pools. Both have built communities around their decentralized finance models.

By listing these tokens in the KRW market, Upbit gives Korean traders direct access to assets that are typically traded on international exchanges. That could boost liquidity and adoption for both protocols in the region.

Trading for Morpho begins on July 25. Euler follows a day later on July 26.
