The person, who also works with other social media platforms testing the same approach, said the conversations are ongoing but provided no details on which stablecoin or a potential timeline.

Stablecoins are digital tokens pegged to traditional currencies, most commonly the U.S. dollar, which keeps their value steady. That makes them a practical option for paying people who might not want to deal with the price swings of regular cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. X has not publicly confirmed the talks, and the company did not respond to a request for comment.
