Spot XRP ETFs logged their fourth consecutive week of net inflows, but the money is getting thinner. Early August saw net inflows of roughly $1 million across the funds, a far cry from the steady stream that marked the spring. The slowdown comes as XRP itself hovers near a key support level and investors keep one eye on Washington.
A thin month for XRP funds
July was not kind to the XRP ETF category. Net inflows for the month came to $27.29 million, the second-weakest month since January. That's a sharp drop from the earlier run, when XRP funds were the rare bright spot in a crypto market that saw heavy outflows from spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs during May and June.
The early August figures don't suggest a rebound is underway. Two of the first five trading days recorded zero reportable net flows, and Wednesday alone saw net outflows of $3.58 million. The weekly total still landed in positive territory, but barely.
The streak and its break
For much of the year, XRP ETFs were on a tear. They put together nine consecutive weeks of inflows while their larger cousins bled assets. That streak broke in early May with a modest net outflow of $35,210 — a blip, sure, but a sign that even the most loyal money can pause.
Since then, the funds have wobbled between small gains and occasional red days. The pattern reads less like a stampede and more like a cautious drip.
Price pressure from Washington
XRP's price has felt the chill. The token dipped to $1.02, brushing against the $1.00 support level that traders have been watching for weeks. The slide tracks with the delayed CLARITY Act voting in the US Senate, which has weighed on sentiment across the digital asset space.
Analysts are still leaning bullish, though their targets vary widely. Some expect a strong reversal if XRP holds support and reclaims $1.05. Others are far more aggressive, with price objectives as high as $50. That kind of spread says less about conviction and more about the uncertainty swirling around the token.
For now, the market is waiting. The Senate's CLARITY Act vote remains pending, and until there's a date on the calendar, XRP's price action — and the flows into its ETFs — will likely stay choppy. The next weekly flow report will show whether the early August trickle turns into a drought or finds a second wind.
