XRP briefly climbed above $1.16 before pulling back to around $1.13, but data shows wallets holding between 100,000 and 100 million XRP have increased their balances by 2.8% over the past five weeks. Meanwhile, the smallest wallets — those with less than 0.01 XRP — cut their holdings by 5.2% in the same period. The divergence suggests larger players are accumulating while retail participants reduce exposure.
Accumulation by key stakeholders
Santiment, a market intelligence platform, noted that XRP has historically tracked the behavior of key stakeholders more closely than the smallest retail wallets. The current accumulation trend comes as XRP benefits from a stronger market narrative, including the resolution of Ripple's SEC overhang and ongoing activity on the XRP Ledger — payments, tokenization, and the RLUSD stablecoin. US-based spot XRP ETF products recorded nearly $12.5 million in net inflows so far this month, adding to the bullish backdrop. Similar periods of accumulation by stronger holders alongside declining micro wallet participation have often created conditions favoring further upside, according to Santiment.
Technical resistance and support levels
ChartNerd, a technical analyst, said XRP faced rejection after testing its daily 50-day exponential moving average — the same level where the previous two rallies lost momentum. The price has since pulled back to around $1.13. The bullish outlook remains intact as long as XRP holds the $1.11-$1.09 support zone. Maintaining that range could preserve momentum for a move toward $1.25. A break below the support area would weaken the current setup and increase the likelihood of falling back to $1.
Debate over breakout or pattern continuation
ChartNerd rejected claims that XRP had already broken out of the downtrend that started in July 2025. Analyst Ali Martinez said a decisive move above $1.13 could confirm XRP's bullish breakout. Some believe XRP continues to trade within a year-long descending pattern, and only a clear break above $1.20-$1.30 could invalidate the setup. The conflicting views leave traders watching the $1.11-$1.09 zone closely.
The coming days will test whether XRP can hold the $1.11-$1.09 support zone. A failure there would likely send the token back toward $1, while a successful defense could set up a run at $1.25.
