What the upgrade changes

Atomic transactions let multiple operations execute as a single unit, so they either all succeed or all fail. Permission delegation allows one account to act on behalf of another, which could simplify custody and institutional workflows. Sponsored fees shift transaction costs to a third party, making it easier for apps to onboard users. Confidential token transfers would hide amounts and balances, a feature that's been a long-standing request from privacy-conscious institutions.

Ripple's tokenization push
