XRP Ledger RWA Value Surges Past $4B, Jumps to 5th Globally

XRP Ledger’s real-world asset tokenization business hit a new milestone this month, with total value locked in RWA tokens crossing $4 billion. The network jumped from eighth to fifth place in the global RWA rankings, overtaking ZKSync Era, Solana, Stella, and Avalanche in the process.

The Justoken Megawatt Hour effect

A single commodity product drove a huge chunk of that growth. Justoken Megawatt Hour, or JMWH, accounts for roughly half of XRPL's total RWA value, and it spiked nearly $900 million in a single day. The token represents tokenized megawatt-hour credits, and its surge helped push the network's total RWA up 55.4% over the last 30 days — from about $2.5 billion to $3.9 billion, before crossing $4 billion.

Holders up 152%, transfer volume up 50%

It wasn't just one token though. The number of RWA holders on XRP Ledger grew by 151.72% over the past month, reaching roughly 302 distinct RWA products. Distributed RWA — assets spread across multiple holders — surged 120.9% in the same period. Transfer volume also rose: the network recorded $145.1 million in RWA transfers over 30 days, up more than 50% from the prior month.

Ethereum still leads but slips

Ethereum remains the second-largest RWA tokenization network overall, despite a 7.4% decline to $18.9 billion. Solana posted a 13.5% increase to $2.8 billion, but that wasn't enough to hold off XRPL's charge. Canton, a privacy-labeled layer-1 blockchain, dipped 4.8% to $313.7 billion, though that figure is still far larger than any other network — Canton is dominated by institutional uses.

XRP Ledger now sits fifth globally, with a clear growth trajectory driven partly by a single commodity token. The question is whether other products will follow JMWH's lead, or if XRPL's RWA boom remains concentrated in one asset. For now, the network has 302 tokenized RWA products live — and that number is climbing fast.
