XRP has bounced off a long-standing demand zone between $1.02 and $1.05, but the broader trend remains neutral to bearish until it breaks above a cluster of overhead resistance. The cryptocurrency is still trapped inside a descending channel on the daily chart, with the upper boundary converging near the 100-day moving average at $1.24 to $1.29.
Descending channel still in play
On the daily timeframe, XRP has been trading within a descending channel for several weeks. The recent rebound from the $1.02-$1.05 area marks the latest test of that support. That zone has held multiple times, but each rally has stalled before reaching the channel's top. The immediate resistance is the $1.24-$1.29 region, where the channel's upper line meets the 100-day moving average. A breakout above that could expose the 200-day moving average as the next target.
Until XRP establishes acceptance above that overhead cluster, the daily chart favors sellers. The primary support remains the $1.02-$1.05 demand zone. A loss of that level would open the door to lower prices.
Short-term picture improves
The 4-hour chart tells a slightly different story. XRP has broken above a short-term descending trendline, suggesting a more constructive short-term outlook. The next key resistance on this timeframe is the $1.16 to $1.18 supply zone. A decisive move above $1.18 could lead to a push toward the $1.24-$1.29 area.
If the price gets rejected at $1.16-$1.18, XRP may retest the broken trendline as support. That would keep the short-term bias neutral but not necessarily bearish, as long as the $1.02-$1.05 zone holds.
What traders are watching
The conflicting signals between the daily and 4-hour charts mean the next few sessions are critical. A daily close above $1.29 would shift the broader trend to bullish. A failure at $1.16-$1.18, followed by a drop back below $1.02, would confirm the bearish channel remains intact.
For now, the $1.16-$1.18 level on the 4-hour chart is the immediate hurdle. Traders are watching whether XRP can clear that zone and sustain momentum toward the larger resistance cluster.
