XRP Slips Below $1, Analysts See Room to Fall Further

XRP has fallen below the $1 threshold, a level traders have watched for weeks, and analysts say the drop may not be over. The token is down more than 70% since July 2025, and one analyst sees a potential slide of another 20-40% before a meaningful bottom.

Analysts map out a lower accumulation zone

Crypto analyst Patel expects XRP to potentially decline another 20-40%, with a projected macro accumulation zone between $0.85 and $0.65. That would put the asset well under the psychological round number it just lost.

Fellow analyst Diana notes that the 4-hour RSI is holding around 42, slightly above its signal line near 41.8. Price is flat and candles are tightening, suggesting the market is coiling rather than reversing.

Key levels to watch

On the upside, XRP faces resistance at $1.015, $1.05, and $1.081. A break above $1.081 could bring $1.145 and $1.20 into focus. On the downside, a decisive break below $1 with follow-through could put $0.906 and $0.861 back on the radar.

Institutions quietly added XRP ETF exposure

Even as the price slides, institutional interest in XRP ETFs is building. Jane Street Group held over 1.2 million shares of the Bitwise XRP ETF at the end of Q2, up from 20,605 shares in Q1. The firm also held positions in XRP ETFs from Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, Canary Capital, and 21Shares.

Bank of America reported 13,260 shares of the Volatility Shares XRP ETF, worth roughly $76,000. Morgan Stanley disclosed holdings in three XRP ETFs, including Franklin, REX-Osprey, and Bitwise products. Wolverine Asset Management holds nearly 200,000 Bitwise XRP ETF shares, and Gallacher Capital Management holds 86,744 shares of the Capital XRP ETF. Main Street Group and National Bank of Canada reported smaller positions.

The next few sessions will show whether $1 becomes resistance or support. A decisive break below it could put $0.906 on the table, while a reclaim above $1.081 would open the door to higher targets.
