XRP jumped 5% to around $1.13 on Friday, pushing past what several analysts call a pivotal resistance zone. Bitcoin also rose, hitting a multi-week peak above $66,000. The move comes as traders watch whether XRP can hold above $1.13 — a level that's been both a sell wall and a breakout trigger in recent sessions.
Resistance at $1.13, then $1.20
Analyst CW noted XRP is breaking through sell walls, with immediate resistance at $1.13–$1.14, then $1.16, and major resistance at $1.20. Ali Martinez highlighted $1.13 as a key resistance; a surge above it could confirm a bullish breakout with targets up to $1.30. For now, the market's testing that first line.
The triple-bottom roadmap
EGRAG CRYPTO pointed to a bottom forming with strong confluence around $0.90–$1.00. Their long-term targets sit at $9, $15, and $31, based on a triple-bottom pattern. That's a far cry from current levels, but the analyst sees the structure as intact.
Downtrend still in play
Not everyone's convinced. ChartNerd warned XRP has not broken its downtrend from the all-time high of $3.65. To show real strength, it needs to surpass $1.20. Friday's move is a step, but the bigger picture remains bearish until that level clears.
Analyst Bird believes XRP has made the first major step to exit a year-long compression and expects an 'explosive candle' soon. Whether that candle arrives depends on whether buyers can hold $1.13 and push through $1.20 in the coming sessions.
