More than $605 million in locked tokens are set to hit the market this week, with YZY, Connex and Arbitrum leading the pack. The biggest single release comes from YZY, the token tied to Ye's YZY MONEY ecosystem, which unlocks $35.22 million worth of supply on Aug. 16. That's according to data from Tokenomist, which tracks token vesting schedules.
YZY's $35 million release
YZY will unlock 120.83 million tokens on Aug. 16, representing 22.83% of its released supply. The project, which also powers Ye Pay and the YZY Card, has a total supply of 1 billion tokens, with 529.17 million already released. The unlock breaks down into three chunks: 100 million tokens go to Yeezy Investments LLC under Vesting 3, 12.5 million to Vesting 1, and 8.33 million to Vesting 2. That's a hefty slice for a token that's still young.
Connex and Arbitrum follow
Connex, a Web3 professional network that uses its token for payments and governance, unlocks 1.32 million CONX tokens on Aug. 15. That's worth about $11.55 million and equals 1.43% of its released supply. The distribution splits between the ecosystem (822,500 tokens) and the community treasury (500,000). Connex's total supply is 100 million, with 92.57 million already out.
Arbitrum, the Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution, releases 92.65 million tokens on Aug. 16, worth $7.19 million. That's 1.61% of its released supply. The allocation gives 56.13 million to the team, future team and advisors, and 36.52 million to investors. Arbitrum's total supply is 10 billion, with 5.74 billion released so far.
Other names on the list
The same week also sees unlocks from Linea, Aptos, Starknet and Sei, though Tokenomist didn't break out their individual amounts. Combined, the week's releases top $605.5 million, a reminder that vesting schedules can hit prices even when the broader market is quiet.
For YZY, the Aug. 16 unlock is the one to watch. The 120.83 million tokens moving to Yeezy Investments and other vesting buckets could add selling pressure, but it also signals the project is following its stated roadmap. Tokenomist will update its tracker as the releases land.
