Zoomex Launches Virtual Mastercard for Crypto Spending

Zoomex has rolled out a virtual Mastercard that lets users convert USDC into fiat currencies and spend directly online, the exchange announced this spring. The Zoomex Card, issued in partnership with a Swiss-regulated financial platform called UR, supports USD, EUR, CHF, JPY, SGD, and HKD — and works with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. It's a virtual-only card with no ATM withdrawal option, but it can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted online.

How the card works

To get the card, users need a Zoomex account, then complete identity verification through UR using a passport or chip-enabled ID. Once activated, the card draws from USDC balances in the Zoomex account, converting crypto to the chosen fiat at the point of sale. Zoomex has published a User Guide and Application Guide, and maintains a list of supported countries on its site.

Why Zoomex built it

Zoomex CEO Jerry Hsu said the goal is to let users hold everything in one integrated account without switching between crypto and traditional finance. UR's Chief Product Officer Ng Yingzhong described the collaboration as bringing digital assets into everyday spending with bank-grade compliance. The card is the latest addition to Zoomex's broader ecosystem, which already includes the Predict Market and a Formula 1 partnership with the TGR Haas team.

Zoomex, founded in 2021, now serves over 3 million users across 35+ countries and offers 590+ trading pairs. The card is virtual-only for now, and the company hasn't said whether a physical version or ATM support is in the pipeline. For users who want to spend crypto without leaving the exchange, the Zoomex Card is live and accepting applications.
