HLTV has launched a dedicated IEM Cologne Major hub inside its mobile app, giving fans a single place to track schedules, match results, and player stats during the tournament. The move is meant to make following the event easier and more interactive, while reinforcing HLTV's position as an essential tool for anyone following esports.
What the hub offers
The hub pulls together live updates, bracket progress, and individual performance data without requiring users to jump between websites or social feeds. HLTV says the feature is designed to boost fan engagement by putting everything in one view. For a tournament like IEM Cologne — one of the biggest Counter-Strike events of the year — that means real-time access to scores and player highlights directly from the app.
Esports events can be chaotic to follow. Multiple streams, scattered stat pages, and delayed updates are common complaints. By centralizing the Major's information inside an app many fans already use for rankings and match history, HLTV cuts down on that friction. The company has long been a hub itself — a database of player stats, team records, and event results — so this mobile hub extends that role into live event coverage.
The launch comes as HLTV pushes its mobile app as a full-featured companion. Adding event-specific hubs is a natural next step after years of building out the desktop site. The IEM Cologne hub is the first of its kind in the app, and it signals that HLTV wants to be more than a stat archive — it wants to be the go-to companion during live tournaments. The hub is available now in the HLTV app for iOS and Android. HLTV hasn't said whether similar hubs will roll out for other Majors later this year.
