Subnautica 2 enters Early Access on May 14, 2026. The underwater survival sequel will be available on PC and through Nvidia's GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. The Early Access version includes co-op multiplayer from day one.
Early Access launch date
The developer confirmed the May 14 release date for the Early Access build. PC players can purchase and download the game through Steam or other digital storefronts. GeForce NOW subscribers will be able to stream the title without needing a high-end gaming PC.
Co-op multiplayer included
Multiplayer support is a new addition for the series in Early Access. The co-op mode lets players explore the ocean world together, though the exact number of players in a session hasn't been disclosed. The feature will be available at launch.
Cloud gaming via GeForce NOW
GeForce NOW support means Subnautica 2 can be played on a range of devices — including Macs, Chromebooks, and mobile phones — by streaming from the cloud. This expands access beyond traditional PC hardware.
The Early Access version launches on May 14, 2026.
