Galatasaray Agrees €25M Deal for Lokomotiv Moscow

Galatasaray has agreed a €25 million deal to sign Aleksey Batrakov from Lokomotiv Moscow. The Turkish club and the Russian side have settled on the transfer fee, the first firm step toward bringing the player to Istanbul.

The fee and the agreement

Galatasaray will pay Lokomotiv Moscow €25 million for Batrakov. That figure is the core of the deal struck between the two clubs. No further terms of the agreement have been disclosed.

Batrakov's route from Moscow

Batrakov plays for Lokomotiv Moscow, a Russian Premier League club. The move would take him out of Russian football and into the Turkish Super Lig with Galatasaray, one of Turkey's biggest clubs. Lokomotiv is set to lose a squad player, with the transfer agreed at the club level.

What's still open

An agreement between clubs is not the same as a finished transfer. There's been no word on when Batrakov will be presented as a Galatasaray player, and the deal has not been formally completed. The clubs have the fee settled; the next step is for the move to go through.
