Rangers Agree Deal for Midfielder Vanja Dragojevic

Rangers have reached an agreement with the representatives of midfielder Vanja Dragojevic, bringing the Serbian playmaker a step closer to Ibrox. The club confirmed the deal on Tuesday, though personal terms and a medical still need to be finalized before the move can go through.

Who is Vanja Dragojevic?

Dragojevic, 24, is a central midfielder known for his passing range and ability to break up play. He has spent the last three seasons with Red Star Belgrade, where he made 87 appearances and scored 11 goals. The Serbian international has also been capped at youth level for his country.

What the deal means for Rangers

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has been looking to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new season. Dragojevic would add depth to a unit that already includes John Lundstram, Nicolas Raskin, and Todd Cantwell. The transfer fee is understood to be in the region of £3 million, though neither club has confirmed the figure.

The move comes as Rangers prepare for a busy summer window. The club has already brought in forward Hamza Igamane and defender Clinton Nsiala, and more arrivals are expected before the transfer deadline.

Next steps

Dragojevic is expected to travel to Glasgow in the coming days to undergo a medical and finalize personal terms. If all goes smoothly, he could be announced as a Rangers player before the end of the week. The club's next competitive fixture is a pre-season friendly against Manchester United on July 20.
