Bitcoin

This is a domestic Indian equity-derivatives plumbing fix, not a crypto-specific event, so its transmission to BTC/ETH is indirect at best. It fits a wider 2024-2025 pattern where major jurisdictions are resolving rule ambiguities (India on derivatives, the US on ETF/staking frameworks, the EU on MiCA) — regulatory clarity is generally a slow-burn positive for risk assets. With BTC at $82,423, dominance elevated, and volume low, the market is in a consolidation phase where incremental positive regulatory news is more likely to be absorbed than celebrated.

India's derivatives regulator reverted to an earlier mechanism for settling prices, potentially easing confusion in the equity-derivatives market.
