Crypto markets are currently in a bearish phase with extreme fear (Fear & Greed 25). Macro headwinds (inflation, rate hikes) dominate. A UK-specific policy shift is unlikely to alter the global macro narrative, but it adds to the list of government interventions that could eventually target crypto as a source of revenue or regulation.
