Mechanistic interpretability is becoming a mainstream AI theme (MIT Tech Review top-10 for 2025), and crypto has a persistent habit of tokenizing AI narratives (decentralized compute, model provenance, 'verifiable AI'). A credible claim that LLMs are easier to control would, over time, reduce the premium on 'trustless/verifiable AI' infrastructure and shift value toward teams that can actually ship interpretability tooling.

Nick Cammarata, a researcher at AI startup Goodfire, published a 26,000-word blog post claiming that large language models may be far easier to understand and control than previously thought, sparking widespread debate in the AI community.
