This is a stealth catalyst for decentralized compute and AI-agent token narratives. It validates the thesis that AI inference is moving from cloud to edge, which paradoxically increases demand for decentralized training networks (e.g., Bittensor, Render) that can handle massive parameter counts. It also pressures Qualcomm's cloud-dependent rivals (Nvidia, AWS) and could accelerate the tokenization of AI models.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon stated that AI companies are entering the phone market and requesting Qualcomm to support running 100B-parameter local LLMs continuously by 2028.
