This event is a political-risk repricing within equities, not a crypto-native catalyst. However, it fits a larger 'fiscal regime uncertainty' narrative: markets are increasingly sensitive to which party controls spending priorities, and any hint of reduced fiscal expansion (or a shift toward social spending) affects the dollar, yields, and liquidity conditions that crypto trades on. With BTC dominance high and Fear & Greed at 63 (Greed), crypto is in a mildly risk-on posture that could absorb this as a neutral-to-slightly-positive signal.

This event highlights the market's selective attention: geopolitical risks that would normally trigger safe-haven flows into crypto are being overridden by monetary policy fears. The high BTC dominance (55.2%) confirms traders are fleeing altcoins for perceived safety, but the 10-point Fear & Greed index signals we're at a capitulation point where even negative political news fails to move prices.
