This comes amid a broader trend of traditional aerospace and telecom companies converging with crypto infrastructure. Starlink's next-gen satellites are too large for Falcon 9, meaning Starship is now the only viable launch vehicle, giving SpaceX a near-monopoly on heavy-lift satellite deployment. This concentration of space infrastructure could influence how decentralized networks think about physical layer resilience.

Starship's Starlink deployment could trigger a 'space race' in crypto, forcing miners to pivot to orbital data centers and launching a new wave of DePIN tokens.
