China is converging toward the Fed/ECB-style 'short-rate as policy anchor' model, which over time makes PBOC easing/tightening signals cleaner and faster-transmitting to money markets. In a world where global liquidity is the dominant crypto macro driver, a more transparent Chinese policy rate is marginally useful for cross-asset liquidity mapping — but it is a structural refinement, not a regime shift. It also fits Beijing's broader push for financial-market modernization and RMB internationalization, which historically has been neutral-to-negative for crypto due to capital controls.
