This is part of the broader convergence of crypto-native identity infrastructure (Worldcoin/World ID, ENS, Veramo, Polygon ID) with traditional KYC/AML rails. As AI-generated video passes liveness checks, banks face a structural fraud cost that legacy KYC cannot solve — creating a wedge for cryptographic proof-of-personhood. This sits alongside a market where high BTC dominance (~$1.66T, 60%+ of $2.76T total) means altcoin/identity-sector narratives are starved of liquidity.

World launched World ID for banking and finance at Money20/20, offering cryptographic proof of identity for video calls to combat deepfakes.
