Working directly with files
The agent can read and write files in common office formats. That includes Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PDFs. Bridging applications
Knowledge workers often switch between email, calendars, project management tools, chat apps, and databases. Claude Cowork can operate across these applications, pulling information from one and sending it to another. A user could say, 'Check the project board for tasks due this week, add them to my calendar, and send a reminder to the team.' The agent connects the tools so the worker doesn't have to.
