Jim Cramer named six AI data center stocks he says are primed to surge, and they all closed higher on Wednesday. Nebius led the way with a 34.14% gain, followed by CoreWeave at 19.28% and Super Micro Computer at 19.02%. The rally marks a sharp reversal for a group that had been sliding for weeks.
The Wednesday Rally
All six stocks finished in the green. Lumentum added 13.63%, Intel rose 3.32%, and Nvidia gained 3.03%. The moves came as Cramer, the CNBC host, highlighted the group on his show.
A Steep Summer Slide
The gains come after a brutal stretch. From late June through most of July, CoreWeave dropped 56%, Super Micro fell 53%, Nebius lost 48%, Lumentum declined 43%, and Intel slid 42%. The Nasdaq 100, by comparison, fell just 11%.
Despite that, all six are beating the S&P 500 year-to-date. Nebius is up 209.64%, Intel 173.58%, Lumentum 152.98%, CoreWeave 50.4%, Supermicro 28.5%, and Nvidia 20.16%. The S&P 500 is up 12.98%.
Why Cramer Turned Bullish
Cramer cited several recent developments that restored his confidence. Intel expanded its stock offering to $20 billion from $15 billion. Supermicro and Lumentum reported better-than-expected results. CoreWeave's results suggested older Nvidia GPUs retain value. And Wednesday's inflation print eased rate pressure.
He also pointed to the forced unwind of "Situational Awareness," a term the article doesn't explain, as the turning point.
Cramer's 'Fighting Bulls'
Cramer described the six stocks as "fabled six fighting bulls" that "trample the non-believers." He said, "I cannot stress enough how important today's session was."
He noted that prices still sit below their peaks but seem primed to go higher. The group had trailed financials, healthcare, and retail for weeks before the recent rally. Now, he's betting the "fighting bulls" have more room to run.
