Manus has released a new Airtable connector that lets users automate common database management tasks by typing plain English prompts. The tool handles pipeline enrichment, inventory updates, and reporting without requiring SQL or scripting knowledge.
What the Connector Automates
The connector targets three specific workflows that often eat up hours of manual effort. Pipeline enrichment means filling in missing fields for leads or accounts — adding company size, industry tags, or contact details. Inventory updates keep stock levels current across multiple bases. Reporting pulls data into clean summaries or scheduled snapshots. Manus says users can set these automations to run on a schedule or trigger them manually.
How Natural Language Prompts Work
Instead of writing formulas or connecting APIs, users describe what they want in everyday language. A prompt like “update the inventory count for all items marked as sold yesterday” would tell the connector to find matching records and change the fields. The system interprets the instruction and executes it against the user’s Airtable base. Manus built the feature to remove the technical friction that stops non-developers from automating their own workflows.
Who Might Use the Connector
Teams that rely on Airtable for operations but lack dedicated database staff stand to benefit most. Sales operations could automate lead refresh, warehouse teams could sync real-time stock changes without manual entry, and finance or marketing departments could generate weekly reports on autopilot. The connector plugs into existing bases, so there’s no migration or new data structure required.
Manus did not disclose pricing or a specific rollout schedule for the connector, though the company described it as part of a broader push to make database management accessible through natural language interfaces.
