Manus Website Builder Rolls Out 'Make a Copy' to Let WebDev Users Duplicate Projects

Manus Website Builder has rolled out a new feature called 'Make a Copy' for users of its WebDev platform. The tool lets developers duplicate entire projects with a single click — opening the door to safer experimentation and the creation of reusable templates.

What the feature does

The 'Make a Copy' option appears in the project management interface. When a user selects it, the system creates an exact replica of the selected website project, including all pages, layouts, and settings. The copy is saved as a separate project that can be edited independently. No changes to the original are affected.

For developers working on complex sites, duplicating a project removes the risk of breaking a live version while testing new ideas. Instead of building from scratch or manually saving backups, users can spin up a copy, try out design changes or new features, and discard the experiment if it doesn't work. The same copies can serve as base templates for future projects — a way to reuse proven layouts without repeating setup work.

The update addresses a common workflow gap. Before 'Make a Copy', WebDev users had to rely on manual export and import processes or third-party tools to duplicate their work. The in-built option simplifies what was previously a multi-step task into a one-click action.

Manus has not said whether additional duplication controls — such as the ability to copy only selected pages or to merge copies — are in development. For now, the feature is limited to full-project duplicates.
