Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has joined Nvidia's partner network, a move that puts the Japanese industrial giant in the business of supplying power and cooling systems for artificial intelligence data centers. The company will offer its thermal management and energy equipment to operators building out Nvidia-based AI infrastructure.
What MHI brings to the network
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries makes a range of industrial equipment, including gas turbines, chillers, and heat-pump systems. Those products are now being positioned as solutions for the intense power and cooling demands of AI computing clusters. Nvidia's partner network includes dozens of companies that provide hardware, software, and services around its GPU platforms.
Why cooling matters for AI
AI training and inference workloads generate far more heat than traditional data center tasks. Liquid cooling and high-efficiency power systems have become critical as operators try to keep energy costs and carbon footprints under control. MHI's entry gives Nvidia customers another option for managing those requirements.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries will begin offering its power and cooling solutions through Nvidia's certified partner program. Specific products and availability have not been announced yet. The company is expected to detail its offerings in the coming months.
