NVIDIA announced broad partnerships Monday with South Korea's LG Group and Doosan Group, pushing its AI platform into factory automation, robotics, and energy infrastructure. The deals — which span multiple subsidiaries on both sides — sent NVDA shares up 2% at the open, and signal a deepening of NVIDIA's industrial AI push beyond its core chip business.
LG's AI factory blueprint
LG Group will build an AI factory using the NVIDIA DSX platform — NVIDIA's full-stack AI infrastructure — designed to train, simulate, validate, and deploy AI applications at scale. The partnership covers several LG units: LG Electronics is developing home robots like CLoiD using NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, and the Isaac GR00T reasoning model. LG Innotek will deliver advanced sensing solutions optimized for NVIDIA GPU architecture. LG CNS will integrate NVIDIA robotics frameworks into its PhysicalWorks platform for industrial automation across factories, logistics centers, and warehouses worldwide. LG Uplus plans to build a large-scale AI data center capable of running the latest NVIDIA GPUs. And LG Energy Solution will work on emerging 800-volt direct-current data center energy systems. Separately, NVIDIA and LG AI Research are working on EXAONE, one of Korea's leading sovereign AI models, using Blackwell GPUs, the NeMo framework, and Nemotron open datasets.
Doosan's four-pronged AI bet
Doosan Group's collaboration covers four divisions. Doosan Robotics is integrating NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, Cosmos world models, the Newton physics engine, and Jetson Thor into its Agentic Robot OS. Reference use cases include depalletizing, sanding, and development of new robot form factors such as dual-arm and humanoid platforms. Doosan Bobcat will work NVIDIA technologies into construction, agriculture, and landscaping equipment to develop autonomous machines. Doosan Enerbility is exploring power solutions for NVIDIA AI factories — including gas turbines, steam turbines, small modular reactors, and hydrogen fuel-cell systems. Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials BG provides high-performance copper-clad laminate for printed circuit boards supporting the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem.
Physical AI and humanoid robotics
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang confirmed the alliance with LG during his visit to Korea, focusing on Physical AI and humanoid robotics. Both LG and Doosan have designated robotics as a strategic growth area. LG's CLoiD home robot and Doosan's Agentic Robot OS demonstrate how NVIDIA's simulation and reasoning tools are being embedded into commercial robots — not just research projects. The partnerships give NVIDIA direct access to Korea's manufacturing and energy sectors, where companies are racing to automate and digitize.
Neither side disclosed financial terms or specific timelines for the first deployments. But with reference use cases outlined for Doosan Robotics and LG's AI factory already in planning, the next step is likely prototype demonstrations later this year — likely at events such as CES or NVIDIA's own GTC conference.
