Prosus Launches ToqanClaw, a No-Code AI Platform with Privacy Pitch

Dutch tech investor Prosus has unveiled ToqanClaw, a no-code AI platform designed to let businesses build and deploy AI agents without writing a single line of code. The company is selling it as a European alternative to similar tools like OpenClaw, with a heavy emphasis on data privacy.

Privacy-first positioning

ToqanClaw lets users create AI agents that can automate tasks, process data, or interact with customers — all through a visual interface. But where Prosus is drawing a sharp distinction from competitors is in how those agents handle user data. The platform is built to keep processing and storage inside the EU, complying with the bloc's strict data protection rules. That's a direct pitch to European businesses wary of sending sensitive information to US-based cloud services.

The company hasn't released a full feature list or pricing, but early materials highlight end-to-end encryption and on-premise deployment options. For companies in regulated sectors like healthcare or finance, that privacy promise could be the deciding factor.

European alternative to US platforms

The launch comes as the AI agent space heats up. OpenClaw, a US-based platform, has gained traction with developers for its flexibility. But Prosus is aiming at a different crowd: non-technical teams who need AI tools but don't want to hand over control of their data to a foreign provider.

ToqanClaw's no-code approach lowers the barrier. A marketing department, for instance, could build an agent to sift through customer feedback without involving IT. Prosus is betting that ease of use plus privacy will carve out a niche in a market dominated by US giants.

The company hasn't announced which specific industries it will target first, though it's expected to roll out pilot programs with a handful of European enterprises in the coming months.

What's still unknown

ToqanClaw enters a crowded field. Beyond OpenClaw, there are dozens of no-code AI builders, from startups to big cloud providers. Prosus's challenge will be proving that its privacy-first approach is more than a marketing line — and that the platform can match the performance of rivals.

No official launch date for a public version has been set. For now, interested users can sign up for early access on the ToqanClaw website. How quickly Prosus can turn interest into revenue — and whether European regulators will give it a tacit endorsement — remains an open question.
