World introduced a World ID product suite aimed at banks and financial firms at Money20/20 in Las Vegas on October 18, 2026, combining its consumer app with two enterprise tools: World ID for Agents and World ID for Zoom. The same day, World ID for Zoom became generally available to Zoom enterprise customers worldwide through the Zoom Marketplace.
The launch is an enterprise-development step, not a bank deployment. World named Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake, Pantera Capital and VanEck Funds as initial design partners, and did not identify any bank already using the product.
What the finance package contains
The suite bundles three pieces. The World ID app handles the consumer side of identity verification. World ID for Agents is built for machine-to-machine and agent-driven interactions. World ID for Zoom covers internal and customer-facing meetings, issuing a Human Badge when an Orb image, a live selfie and the participant's Zoom video frame all match.
World is pitching the tools around a single question: whether the person on the other end of a digital interaction is actually human. That matters more to financial firms as AI-generated impersonation and fraud get harder to spot. World cited a Deloitte estimate that U.S. AI-enabled fraud losses could climb from $12.3 billion in 2023 to $40 billion by 2027. That figure is a projection, not a tally of losses already booked.
Zoom rollout and the Human Badge
World ID for Zoom was previewed in April 2026 as part of a broader World ID upgrade. It's now live for Zoom enterprise customers globally. The badge only appears after the three checks line up, which means a participant can't simply paste a photo into a call and pass.
To widen enterprise access, Tools for Humanity joined Zoom's Independent Software Vendor Exchange programme. That puts World's verification tool in front of companies already buying through Zoom's marketplace, rather than requiring a separate sales channel.
The design-partner list and what's missing
The five named design partners span asset management, trading venues and venture capital. What World didn't provide is a live bank customer. The finance package is being positioned as an early enterprise product, with partners helping shape it before any confirmed bank rollout.
World says more than 18 million people hold a Proof of Human. That's the installed base the company is bringing to financial firms weighing whether to add identity checks to onboarding, trading and internal meetings.
What happens next
The near-term test is whether design partners move from shaping the product to running it in production, and whether World names a bank customer. For now, the concrete date is October 18, 2026, when the finance suite launched and World ID for Zoom opened to Zoom enterprise customers through the Marketplace.
