Binance US Stock Platform Reaches $1 Billion in Assets in First Month

Binance's US stock trading platform has hit $1 billion in assets under management within 30 days of its launch. The company said 84.5% of the trading volume came from retail investors in emerging markets.

Retail investors from emerging markets drive volume

The platform, which offers tokenized US stocks, has seen strong demand from individual traders in countries where access to traditional US markets is limited. Binance did not disclose which specific emerging markets contributed the most, but the data points to a user base that is largely retail rather than institutional.

The $1 billion AUM milestone was reached faster than many comparable platforms. Binance's existing crypto infrastructure likely helped it attract users quickly.

What the platform offers

Binance's US stock trading product allows users to buy and sell tokenized shares of major US companies. The tokens are backed by real stocks held in custody. This gives investors outside the US a way to trade American equities without needing a brokerage account in the United States.

The platform competes with other tokenized stock offerings from firms like FTX and eToro, though Binance's global reach gives it a large potential customer base.

Binance has not released details on how many users the platform has or what the average account size is. The company also hasn't said whether it plans to expand the number of available stocks beyond the initial set.
