Bitget Rolls Out Institutional-Grade CFD Liquidity for Quant Funds and Prop Shops

Bitget has launched a new institutional-grade liquidity solution for its CFD business, aimed squarely at quantitative trading teams, proprietary trading firms, funds, retail brokers, and high-net-worth professionals. The setup promises 100% straight-through processing (STP), deep multi-tier liquidity, sub-millisecond order matching, and FIX API connectivity, with trading servers deployed in London's LD4 and Tokyo's TY3 data centres.

Inside the new CFD setup

The core of the offering is a fully automated STP model that routes orders directly to liquidity providers without manual intervention. Bitget says the multi-tier liquidity pool is designed to handle large order sizes without slippage, and the sub-millisecond matching engine is built for latency-sensitive strategies. The FIX API gives institutional clients a standard way to connect their own systems, while the server placement in LD4 and TY3 puts execution close to major financial hubs. For a prop firm running algorithmic strategies, that kind of proximity can be the difference between a fill and a miss.

Who gets the dedicated treatment

Retail users still get the standard CFD environment through the app, web, and MT5. But institutional clients get a separate, dedicated setup with its own infrastructure and support. That split matters because professional traders often need custom risk controls, higher limits, and direct market access — things a retail interface can't easily provide. The dedicated setup is built for the kind of order flow that comes from quant desks and funds, not casual traders.

How client funds are held

Bitget says client assets are segregated from operational funds and held in independent custody accounts. The exchange also points to compliance reviews and third-party auditing as part of the custody arrangement. In a market where trust is often the deciding factor, that separation matters. It's not just about execution speed; it's about knowing your money is separate from the exchange's own balance sheet.

Bitget's bigger pitch

The exchange describes itself as the world's largest universal exchange, serving over 125 million users. It offers access to more than 2 million crypto tokens, 500+ tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities, FX, and precious metals. Bitget also counts MotoGP and UNICEF among its partners, which gives it a profile beyond just crypto trading. The new CFD liquidity solution is part of a broader push to serve professional clients, not just retail.

CEO Gracy Chen said infrastructure is critical for professional traders, and the new liquidity solution is meant to address that directly. The service is now available to institutional clients, with the dedicated setup live in both data centres.
