Algorand's ALGO was trading at $0.131106 on October 12, up 10.50% over the past 24 hours on roughly $120.3 million in volume. The move puts the spot price above both its 7-day simple moving average of $0.1237 and its 30-day SMA of $0.1140, and marginally past the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement at $0.1290.
The gain lands the same week Algorand reported that its Pera Wallet ecosystem crossed one million post-quantum-resilient transactions, following the v5.0.0 upgrade that introduced native quantum accounts.
The Pera Wallet milestone, in plain terms
Algorand's disclosure is about a specific capability: quantum-resistant transaction signing inside Pera Wallet, enabled by the v5.0.0 upgrade and its native quantum account support. The one-million-transaction figure covers activity in that ecosystem since the upgrade went live.
That's a product metric, not a price driver on its own. But it lands in a stretch where quantum computing risk has moved from conference panels into wallet roadmaps, and Algorand is one of a small set of chains that can point to shipped code rather than a whitepaper. The v5.0.0 upgrade is the thing to track here, not the headline count.
Where the chart sits
Daily RSI came in at 59.28 on October 12. That's the useful middle of the range — enough momentum to keep buyers interested, not stretched enough to scream overbought.
Above the market, the recent swing high at $0.1426 is the next reference point. Below it, immediate support sits at $0.1237, which is where the 7-day SMA happens to be — a coincidence that makes the level easy to watch. If that gives way, the lower shelf is $0.1071, the 61.8% Fibonacci level.
A September 29 analysis from The Cryptonomist drew the wider frame: $0.11 as structural support, $0.14 as immediate resistance. Today's spot price has pushed through the lower end of that band and is poking at the upper edge from underneath.
What the volume says
Roughly $120.3 million traded in 24 hours. For a move of this size, that's real participation rather than a thin-book wick — the kind of volume you want to see behind a breakout attempt, though it doesn't guarantee the level holds.
The clean read: ALGO has reclaimed its short- and medium-term moving averages, cleared the first Fibonacci retracement, and now has a defined ceiling to test. Whether it converts that into a trend or fades back to the 7-day SMA depends on whether buyers show up at $0.1426.
The level that matters now
Watch $0.1426. A convincing break there would put the September 29 resistance call in play and open the door to a higher range. A rejection leaves ALGO back inside the $0.11–$0.14 band that's framed the trade for weeks, with $0.1237 as the first line to defend.
Algorand hasn't said what comes after v5.0.0 in the Pera Wallet roadmap, and the quantum-account transaction count is the only adoption number on the table. Those two gaps are what the next update will need to fill.
