Binance Launches Lite Loan, a 30-Day Bitcoin-Backed Loan With No Liquidation

Binance rolled out a new bitcoin-backed loan product called Lite Loan on August 4. The simplified borrowing tool offers up to 1,000 USDT with no price-triggered liquidation during the initial 30-day term. A promotional 0.5% service fee is available through September 3.

How Lite Loan works

Lite Loan is a stripped-down borrowing product aimed at smaller users. Unlike Binance's existing crypto loan offerings, this one doesn't trigger automatic liquidation if bitcoin's price drops during the loan period. That's a big difference — most crypto-backed loans will sell your collateral if the market moves against you. Here, the borrower gets a full 30 days without that risk. The loan is denominated in USDT, and the maximum amount is 1,000 USDT.

Who can use it

The product is available to eligible master-account users on Binance. That means it's not open to everyone — you need a master account, which typically belongs to institutional or high-volume traders. But the loan size suggests Binance is trying to attract a broader base of smaller borrowers, not just whales. The simplified application process also points in that direction.

The promotional period

Binance is offering a 0.5% service fee for loans taken out before September 3. After that, standard rates apply. The company hasn't said what those standard rates will be, but the promotional fee is clearly meant to drive adoption early. The timing isn't accidental — crypto lending has been under pressure from regulators in multiple jurisdictions, and Binance is pushing ahead with new products anyway.

The promotional fee runs through September 3. After that, borrowers will pay whatever the standard rate is. Whether Binance extends the promotion or makes Lite Loan a permanent offering remains an open question.
