Binance Pay Lets Users Send Crypto Gifts Across Borders for Father's Day

Binance Pay has launched cross-border crypto gifting for Father's Day, letting users send digital assets to family and friends overseas. The feature, rolled out this week, leverages the exchange's growing payment network to handle international transfers. It's a straightforward play: make sending crypto as easy as sending a message, and time it for a gift-giving occasion.

Sending crypto across borders

Users can pick a supported asset, enter a recipient's details via Binance Pay, and send. The network handles conversion if the sender and receiver use different currencies. No need for a bank account or traditional remittance service. The recipient gets the crypto directly into their Binance account, or can cash out through local partners.

Timed for the holiday

Father's Day falls on June 21 this year. Binance rolled the feature out on June 20 — the day before. That's not a coincidence. The exchange is betting that families separated by borders will use crypto to send something fast and low-cost, rather than dealing with wire transfers or gift cards that don't work abroad.

Expanding the payment network

This isn't Binance's first gifting push. The company has been building out Binance Pay as a broader payment tool, adding merchants and cross-border corridors. Father's Day gifting is a narrow use case, but it tests the network's ability to handle person-to-person transfers in real time. If it works, expect more holiday-focused campaigns.

The service is live now. Binance hasn't said whether it will extend the gifting feature beyond Father's Day or make it a permanent option.
