Bitcoin slipped below $63,000 for the second consecutive day on Friday, touching an intraday low of $62,470 before steadying near $63,000. The decline deepened in early trading, though the cryptocurrency remained virtually flat over the past 24 hours. Over the past seven days, bitcoin is down 2.6%.
Second day below $63,000
Bitcoin initially appeared to consolidate around $63,400, but that level didn't hold. By Friday's early session, the price had dropped below $63,000 again, matching Thursday's move. The intraday low of $62,470 marked the weakest point of the session.
A flat 24 hours
Despite the intraday dip, bitcoin's price was virtually unchanged over the past day. The move lower in early trading was offset by a recovery that brought the price back to the $63,000 area. The seven-day loss of 2.6% reflects a gradual slide rather than a sharp selloff.
The $62,470 low from Friday's session is now the level to watch. If bitcoin holds above that, the recent range could persist. A break below would mark a fresh low for the week.
