Bitcoinist.App Launches Non-Custodial Bitcoin Mining App for iOS

Bitcoinist.App, a non-custodial Bitcoin mining app, hit the Apple App Store on July 23. Operated by BFM Company Limited, registered in RAK DAO, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, the app gives users access to real hashpower from hosted miners — no hardware purchase required. Users can start with just a Sign in with Apple account and never hand over their private keys.

Real hashpower, no hardware needed

The app works as a control layer for remotely hosted miners in UAE data centers and third-party facilities. Users rent hashpower in 1 TH/s increments through an in-app subscription or ad-supported free mining time. They can create private mining pools, invite others, and compete with the global hashrate, or route their miners to the Ocean pool. Mining doesn't run on the iPhone itself — it's all real gear running somewhere else.

Bitcoin Academy: 31 lessons

Bitcoinist.App includes a 31-lesson video curriculum called Bitcoin Academy. It's designed to teach users about Bitcoin and mining from scratch. Founder and CEO Fouad Jamil said the app aims to lower the barrier for people who want to understand and participate in mining without the upfront cost or technical hassle.

Non-custodial by design

The app doesn't hold user private keys or mined funds. Payouts go directly to a user-controlled wallet. That's a key differentiator from many mining platforms that pool and distribute rewards themselves. Users keep full control of their Bitcoin at all times.

For now, the app is iOS-only and available from the Apple App Store. Support for connecting user-owned hardware like Bitaxe is planned. The press release announcing the launch was sponsored, meaning Bitcoinist.App paid for its distribution — something to keep in mind when evaluating the coverage.
