BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) holds 5,797,813 ETH — roughly 4.8% of Ethereum's entire circulating supply — according to the company's latest disclosures. Chairman Thomas Lee noted that ETH outperformed the Nasdaq 100 by 2,500 basis points in July, a stark contrast to the broader market's jitters. Ethereum is currently trading at $1,852.60, down 0.33% in the last 24 hours.
A massive Ethereum position
BitMine's staked position of 4.917 million ETH is projected to generate annualized staking revenues of $247 million at a 7-day yield of 2.67%. Beyond its Ethereum trove, the firm also holds 209 Bitcoin (BTC), a $180 million stake in Beast Industries, and a $61 million stake in Eightco. The sheer size of the ETH position makes BitMine one of the largest known corporate holders of the asset.
Market sentiment remains cautious
Despite BitMine's bullish bet, the broader market is skittish. The Fear and Greed Index for ETH sits at 23, deep in 'extreme fear' territory. Coinlore's short-term indicators show 6 buy signals versus 7 sell signals. Key support levels are at $1,716 and $1,688; resistance at $1,923 and $2,133. Ethereum's 24-hour range was $1,849 to $1,874, with volatility around 2.79%.
Price projections diverge
CoinCodex projects a medium-term ETH target of $2,722 — a 52% move from current levels. VanEck's 2030 base-case target is far more ambitious at $11,848 per ETH. The gap between near-term fear and long-term optimism is wide.
