Bybit Named to CNBC's World's Top Fintech Companies 2026 List

Bybit has been named to CNBC's World's Top Fintech Companies 2026 list in the Digital Assets category. The exchange, the world's second-largest by trading volume, was recognized among roughly 3,500 companies evaluated by CNBC and market research firm Statista. The list comes as fintech revenue hit $650 billion in 2025, up about 21% from the prior year, according to McKinsey & Co.

What the CNBC list measures

CNBC and Statista evaluated approximately 3,500 companies across multiple fintech categories. Bybit landed in the Digital Assets segment, which covers exchanges, wallets, and related infrastructure. The ranking uses a mix of revenue growth, user base, and market impact — though CNBC hasn't published the full methodology. For Bybit, the nod adds a third-party endorsement beyond its own marketing claims.

Bybit's regulatory footprint

Bybit holds a Virtual Asset Platform Operator license from the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority. Its European arm, Bybit EU, operates under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation, with a license issued by Austria's Financial Market Authority. The exchange now serves more than 80 million users worldwide. Those licenses matter — they let Bybit offer services in two of the world's most active crypto markets without the regulatory uncertainty that still dogs some competitors.

Beyond spot trading: AI and tokenized assets

Bybit isn't just a spot and derivatives exchange anymore. The company has rolled out AI-powered trading and research tools, a payments product, and tokenized assets including xStocks and IPO Express. It also offers infrastructure for institutional investors. That diversification helps explain why a general fintech list — not just a crypto one — would take notice.

A second major industry nod

This isn't Bybit's only recent accolade. The exchange was also included in the inaugural Fortune Crypto 100 list in the CeFi category. Two independent rankings in the same year give the company a stronger narrative as it pushes into regulated markets and institutional services.

The press release is sponsored and for informational purposes only — not financial advice. But the recognition itself is real, and it arrives as Bybit continues to expand its licensed operations in the UAE and Europe.
