Cash App has eliminated all fees and spreads on Bitcoin purchases over $2,000. The company also removed fees on recurring Bitcoin buys. The move positions Cash App as the cheapest option for Bitcoin purchases in the US, according to the firm.
No fees on large buys
Starting now, any Bitcoin purchase above $2,000 on Cash App carries zero fees and zero spread. That means the price you see is the price you pay — no hidden markup. The change applies to both one-time and recurring buys.
Recurring buys also free
Cash App also eliminated fees on recurring Bitcoin purchases of any size. Users who set up daily, weekly, or monthly buys won't be charged a fee or spread on those transactions. The company didn't say whether the promotion has an end date.
Cash App's pricing pitch
The Block-owned payment app is making a direct play for cost-conscious Bitcoin buyers. By removing both explicit fees and the spread — the difference between market price and the price the user pays — Cash App is undercutting most competitors. The company says it's now the cheapest place to buy Bitcoin in the US.
The timing isn't accidental. Bitcoin trading volumes have been choppy this year, and exchanges are fighting for retail flow. Dropping fees on larger orders targets the higher-value customer, while free recurring buys aims to lock in steady, smaller-dollar users.
Cash App didn't announce any changes to its Bitcoin withdrawal fees or selling fees. Those remain in place.
