Drake dropped three surprise albums yesterday. No warning, no rollout — just 43 new tracks landing on streaming services on May 15. The albums are titled 'Iceman,' 'Habibti,' and 'Maid.' And one of those tracks, 'Dust' from 'Iceman,' contains a clear crypto reference.
The Triple Drop
This isn't a single or an EP. Drake released three full-length projects in one day. Combined, they run 43 songs. The move caught fans off guard — the rapper didn't tease any of them beforehand. 'Iceman' leads the pack, followed by 'Habibti' and 'Maid.' Tracklists for all three are already circulating online.
Crypto on 'Dust'
On 'Dust,' a track from 'Iceman,' Drake references both Bitcoin and the exchange FTX. He calls himself a 'BTC Crypto Big-Timer.' The line is a boast, plain and simple. It's not the first time a major artist has name-dropped crypto in a song, but the mention of FTX stands out — the exchange collapsed years ago and is still a sensitive topic in the space.
Drake's audience is massive. A lyric like that gets millions of ears — and potentially millions of searches for Bitcoin and FTX. Whether it moves markets is another story. But the reference puts crypto back in the pop-culture conversation, if only for a day.
The albums are out now on all major platforms.
