EMCD has launched a Miner Support Program that gives eligible miners up to $30 million in financing, fee relief, and partner benefits. The move comes as Bitcoin's hashprice dropped to roughly $28 per PH per day — a 50% decline from its October 2025 peak and an all-time post-halving low, according to CoinShares' Q1 2026 data. An estimated 252 EH/s has been taken offline as operators running older-generation hardware found margins no longer viable, per Hashrate Index data cited by CoinCentral in April 2026.
The numbers behind the move
Hashprice isn't the only metric flashing red. Three consecutive negative difficulty adjustments have occurred, the first such streak since July 2022. That signals broad capitulation across the sector. Miners are shutting down rigs faster than the network can adjust, and the math for older hardware simply doesn't work anymore.
What the program offers
EMCD's program includes secured liquidity facilities at 3.9% APR, zero pool commission for 60 days, preferential pricing on Vnish firmware, and special terms on equipment and data center services. The company has operated its mining pool since 2017 and processed over 4,550 BTC mined by its users in 2025. It currently has over 30 EH/s of hashrate and ranks in the global top ten mining pools.
Who can join
EMCD is inviting hardware manufacturers, data centers, and hosting providers to join the program by offering exclusive terms to eligible miners. The pool was recognized as Best Mining Pool by Coingape in 2026 and by Finance Feeds in 2025.
Michael Jerlis, Founder & CEO of EMCD, said the program is designed to help miners use downturns as opportunities. The timing isn't great for many operators, but the financing and fee relief could keep some afloat until the next cycle. The program is open now, with no announced end date.
