EverSource Wealth Advisors, a registered investment advisor with $3.6 billion in assets under management, disclosed significant holdings in XRP exchange-traded funds in a regulatory filing this week. The firm also reported positions in Bitcoin ETFs and a handful of crypto-related stocks, signaling continued institutional appetite for digital asset exposure through traditional vehicles.
The XRP ETF Bet
EverSource's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission shows the firm holds a notable stake in XRP ETFs. While the exact size of the position wasn't specified in the disclosure, the language used — "significant holdings" — suggests a meaningful allocation relative to the firm's overall portfolio. XRP ETFs have gained traction since the SEC approved several spot products earlier this year, and EverSource is among the first wave of traditional wealth managers to publicly embrace them.
Bitcoin and Beyond
Beyond XRP, EverSource also reported investments in Bitcoin ETFs. The firm didn't break out individual fund names, but the disclosure confirms that the advisor is diversifying across the two largest digital assets by market cap. The move aligns with a broader trend of RIAs adding crypto ETFs to model portfolios as regulatory clarity improves.
Crypto Stock Holdings
EverSource's crypto exposure isn't limited to ETFs. The firm holds stock in Evernorth Holdings' SPAC, as well as shares of Strategy (MSTR), the business intelligence firm turned Bitcoin treasury company. Other crypto stocks were listed in the filing but not named individually. The inclusion of a SPAC vehicle — Evernorth's — is notable, as it suggests the advisor is also betting on crypto-adjacent corporate structures.
The filing comes as more wealth managers navigate how to allocate to digital assets without taking on direct custody risk. EverSource's disclosure offers a concrete look at how a mid-sized RIA is building that exposure today.
