Gorae Protocol is moving more than 50,000 electric vehicle chargers onto the Sui blockchain. The initiative creates verifiable revenue records for investors in real-world assets — a growing corner of crypto that ties digital tokens to physical infrastructure.
How the onchain shift works
Each charger will generate onchain data about usage and payments. That gives investors a tamper-resistant record of cash flows, something that's been hard to verify with traditional offchain reporting. The Sui blockchain handles the throughput needed for frequent microtransactions from thousands of chargers.
Real-world asset tokenization has mostly focused on real estate and private credit. EV charging infrastructure is a newer play. The revenue stream is tied to actual electricity sales, not lease payments or loan interest. Gorae's approach puts the operational data directly onchain, cutting out the middleman who normally audits and reports those numbers.
The chargers are being onboarded in batches. Gorae hasn't said when the full 50,000 will be live, but the first set is already generating onchain records. The protocol plans to expand to other types of energy infrastructure later this year.
