Influence360 launched its Web3 KOL platform this week, connecting projects with global influencers across 10+ languages. The service uses AI optimization and smart contract escrow to handle campaigns and payments. Its launch coincided with a survey revealing 65% of KOLs have worked with projects that didn't pay them in full.
Survey Sums Up Industry Pain Points
The platform's co-founders Dejan Horvat and Laura Toma released 'The State of Web3 Influencer Marketing 2026' based on responses from 143 KOLs across seven regions. More than half of these creators earn $1,000 to $5,000 per campaign, though experienced KOLs often exceed that range. But only 35% reported being paid by every project they've worked with, exposing a deep trust gap. It's not all negative—97% said they've collaborated with the same projects multiple times.
How the Platform Actually Works
Influence360 targets Web3 projects and agencies with tools for KOL discovery, campaign execution, and real-time performance tracking. The permission-based system lets agencies manage influencer rosters and collect a lifetime share of fees for bringing on talent. Smart contract escrow holds payments until campaign milestones are verified. The platform covers major channels including X, YouTube, and Telegram, with AI matching projects to KOLs based on language and platform focus.
What KOLs Demand Before Saying Yes
The survey showed creators prioritize team transparency, investor backing, and project credibility when choosing collaborations. This explains why nearly all KOLs return to trusted projects despite payment issues. The platform's founders built their experience over nine years at Innovion before launching Influence360 to address these exact pain points. They're not inventing new rules—the survey confirmed what creators already require.
What's Coming Down the Road
Influence360's roadmap includes advanced analytics, UGC campaign infrastructure, and automation tools. These features aim to give agencies better data on campaign performance and streamline content creation. The platform won't share when these will arrive, but the survey's findings suggest they're urgently needed given the payment issues documented. No launch dates were provided for the new tools.
