Lighter Token Surges 20% as Buterin Mention, Tealstreet Integration, and SpaceX Futures Fuel Rally

Lighter (LIT) jumped more than 20% in 24 hours on Wednesday, hitting an intraday high of $1.23 — its strongest price since March 18. The token, which had been nursing earlier weekly losses, turned around sharply and now trades about 30% higher over the past three days.

Three catalysts behind the jump

Traders pointed to three distinct events that converged to drive the rally. First, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin referenced Lighter during a fireside chat, drawing attention from a broad crypto audience. Second, trading platform Tealstreet integrated direct LIT trading, making it easier for users to buy and sell the token. Third, the launch of synthetic SpaceX pre-IPO perpetual futures on a Lighter-related venue added a fresh speculative layer to the token’s ecosystem.

24-hour trading volume hit $58.3 million, an 82% increase from the prior day. The jump suggests genuine buying interest rather than a flash spike.

Still far from the peak

Despite the three-day recovery, LIT remains far below its all-time high of $7.86 set in December. The token would need to more than sextuple from current levels to reclaim that record. Whether the recent catalysts can sustain momentum — or if the rally is a short-term bounce — is the open question for holders.
