A market analyst known as CharuSan has forecasted that XRP will surge to $300 once the CLARITY Act takes effect, boosting the token's utility for global bank transfers. The prediction hinges on widespread adoption of Ripple's On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) by financial institutions, which CharuSan argues would fundamentally change how XRP's price is calculated. At the time of writing, XRP was trading at roughly $1.38, down over the past 24 hours according to CoinMarketCap.
The mechanics behind the $300 target
CharuSan's price projection rests on a specific view of how banks would use XRP through ODL. They explained that the price is not determined by circulating supply in the usual way, but by the volume of transfers. For example, a single bank transfer worth $200 billion would require 10 billion XRP if the token price were $20. With a circulating supply of 61 billion, even a single transfer of 3 billion to 10 billion XRP would create a bottleneck, they said, especially if the global banking network engages simultaneously.
CharuSan claimed that 13,000 banks cannot conduct transfers using small XRP values like $10 or $20. Higher prices become necessary to handle the transaction volume without choking the supply. They also warned that token velocity does not replace liquidity depth, and simultaneous global transaction volume could cause slippage if it exceeds pool depth.
Why the CLARITY Act matters
CharuSan predicted that banks would begin using XRP shortly after the CLARITY Act is enacted. The legislation is seen as a catalyst that would boost the token's utility in cross-border payments. They alluded to the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and many other institutional firms already adopting XRP for global transactions, suggesting that the regulatory clarity would accelerate that trend.
The partnerships and the timeline
CharuSan pointed to Ripple's existing partnerships with Volante, ACI Worldwide, and FINASTRA as evidence that the infrastructure for bank adoption is already in place. They predicted the rally would happen swiftly after the CLARITY Act passes, with banks moving to use ODL for transfers. The combination of regulatory clarity and established payment technology partners, they argued, would trigger a rapid price increase.
Current price and the market's reaction
XRP's current price of $1.38 stands in stark contrast to CharuSan's $300 target. The token has seen a decline in the last 24 hours, though the market's broader reaction to the prediction remains unclear. The question now is whether the CLARITY Act will pass and, if so, whether banks will indeed adopt XRP at the scale CharuSan envisions — a shift that would test the liquidity and pricing mechanics of the entire network.
